Every survey app advertises how much you can earn. Almost none advertise the number that decides whether you ever receive it. AttaPoll's low payout threshold is its most important feature and its least promoted one.

Here is why. In the paid-survey category, the advertised earning rate is close to meaningless on its own, because three things stand between you and the money.

The first is screen-outs. You begin a survey, answer profiling questions for several minutes, and are told you do not qualify. Any honest hourly rate for this work has to be computed across attempted surveys, not completed ones, and that calculation is never the one presented.

It is the single most powerful lever a survey platform has, because every user who abandons the app below the threshold leaves their entire balance behind. The third is expiry. Balances that lapse after a period of inactivity return the money to the platform, and inactivity is the natural state of someone who signed up, did four surveys, got screened out of three, and lost interest.

AttaPoll's low threshold neutralises the second of those and reduces exposure to the third. That is a real, structural advantage over most of the category, and it deserves to be the headline rather than a footnote in a paragraph about coffee breaks.

Two further points worth having. Paying in cash to PayPal rather than in a proprietary points currency removes an entire layer of ambiguity — you know exactly what you have, which is not true of a balance denominated in points whose conversion rate the platform sets and can change. And the charity donation option is a genuinely useful feature for balances too small to feel worth withdrawing, which is otherwise exactly the money that platforms retain.

The honest summary of this category: nobody makes a meaningful income from survey apps, and any listing suggesting otherwise is not describing screen-out rates. What a well-designed one can do is convert dead time into small, real, withdrawable amounts. Whether that is worth your attention depends on what the time is otherwise worth — but if you are going to do it at all, do it somewhere the money comes out.
