ConfirmTkt's referral is one of the smallest on this site, and that is not really the story. What the app does is genuinely useful in a way a ₹20 reward is not.

ConfirmTkt pays around ₹20 for a successful referral. It is a small amount, it is honestly advertised as a small amount, and there is not much more to say about the mechanics — the friend needs to sign up through your code and make a booking, and the reward follows.

What is worth more of your attention is what the product does, because it explains why people search for this app at all.

Indian rail booking has a structural problem: demand routinely exceeds seats, so tickets are issued as waitlisted and may or may not confirm before departure. Travellers are left holding a ticket they cannot rely on. ConfirmTkt's core feature is a prediction of whether a given waitlisted ticket will actually confirm, based on historical patterns for that train, route, class and quota. That is a genuinely useful piece of information and it is the reason the app exists — not the referral.

The commercial context is worth knowing too. ixigo acquired ConfirmTkt in February 2021 in a cash-and-stock deal, and it became a substantial part of the group: ConfirmTkt contributed ₹128 crore of ixigo's ₹385 crore revenue in FY21-22. ixigo also owns AbhiBus, acquired in August 2021. So ConfirmTkt and AbhiBus are stablemates rather than alternatives, which matters if you are comparing their referral offers as though they were competing for your recommendation.

For train bookings the underlying ticketing is IRCTC's regardless of which app you use, so what you are choosing between is the interface, the prediction tooling and the fees — not the inventory. That is the honest basis on which to recommend one to a friend, and it is a better reason than ₹20.
