Chingari's "free coins" are a cryptocurrency, not points in an app. That single fact changes what the reward is and what can happen to it after you receive it.

Chingari rewards activity — uploading, liking, sharing, commenting and referring — with GARI. The important thing that every listing omits is what GARI is: a cryptocurrency token, traded on exchanges, with a price that moves.

That is materially different from the in-app coins the phrasing suggests. App credit has a fixed relationship to the platform that issues it. A crypto token has a market price that can rise or fall independently of anything you or the app does, and tokens issued as activity rewards on social platforms have a well-documented tendency to decline as recipients sell them. When you earn GARI, you are receiving a volatile asset, and the number of tokens tells you nothing about what they will be worth when you come to use them.

The referral mechanism itself is unusual and worth describing accurately. A dedicated pool of 10 million GARI exists for referrals, and it is refilled weekly from Chingari's revenues. That is a more honest structure than many token rewards, because the payouts are tied to money the business actually makes rather than to an unbacked issuance — but it also means the value flowing to users depends on those revenues, and the per-user share depends on how many people are claiming from the pool at the same time.

So the arithmetic that matters is not the token count. It is: what is GARI trading at, and can it be converted at that price in the quantity you hold? Small crypto holdings frequently cost more in fees to move than they are worth, which is the same problem the GoSats page describes elsewhere on this site.

Two further points worth making. Crypto rewards in India attract the flat 30% tax on virtual digital asset gains plus 1% TDS, which applies to tokens earned through app activity as much as to tokens bought. And tokens earned rather than purchased still have a cost basis question at disposal, which is worth taking advice on if the amounts become meaningful.

If you enjoy the app, being paid something for activity you were doing anyway is a reasonable bonus. Treating accumulated GARI as savings is not the same thing, and the distinction is the point of this page.
