Binance Referral Code
Commission share on fees — back in India since 2024
Binance is the largest global crypto exchange by volume. Its referral pays a share of the trading fees generated by people you refer, and it returned to India in August 2024 after registering with FIU-IND.
Genie Says
Binance pays a tiered share of the trading fees your referrals generate — not their deposits or profits — so a referral who deposits and holds pays you nothing. It was blocked in India in January 2024, paid a reported $2.2m penalty, registered with FIU-IND and resumed Indian operations in August 2024.

How to Use a Binance Referral Code
Check your dashboard rate
Commission is tiered and varies by market and status. The figure on your own referral dashboard is the one that applies.
Friend signs up and trades
Commission is a share of trading fees, so a referred account that only deposits and holds generates nothing.
You earn on their activity, ongoing
Not a one-off bounty. One active trader outweighs many buy-and-hold accounts in this model.
Know the incentive you are taking on
You are paid in proportion to how much they trade, on a volatile asset class where frequent trading rarely serves a retail participant.

Why Choose Binance?
A referral who deposits a large sum and holds generates no trading fees and therefore no commission at all.
Blocked in January 2024 for non-compliance, Binance paid a reported $2.2m penalty, registered with FIU-IND and resumed Indian operations.
Commission rises with how much your referral trades. That is worth acknowledging before you recommend it to someone.
About Binance
Binance's referral is a commission share rather than a bonus, which makes it behave very differently from the flat rewards elsewhere in this category — and its Indian availability has its own recent history.
Binance's referral pays you a percentage of the trading fees generated by the people you refer. It is not a signup bonus, and understanding that changes who is worth referring.
The rate is tiered rather than fixed, varying with your own status and the programme in your market, with figures around 40% commonly cited. What matters more than the headline is the base it applies to: trading fees, not trade value and not profits. A friend who deposits and holds generates no fees and therefore no commission, however much they deposit. A friend who trades actively generates fees continuously, and you earn on every one of them for as long as the arrangement runs. In a commission-share model one active trader is worth more than a hundred buy-and-hold accounts.
That is also the honest caution. You are paid in proportion to how much the person you referred trades, on a volatile asset class where frequent trading is generally not in a retail participant's interest. It is worth being conscious of that incentive rather than pretending it is not there.
The Indian availability history matters if that is where you are. India blocked access to several offshore exchanges in January 2024, Binance among them, on grounds of non-compliance with local anti-money-laundering requirements. Binance subsequently paid a penalty reported at $2.2 million, registered with the Financial Intelligence Unit, and restarted Indian operations in August 2024. So it is available — but any Indian referral figure published between January and August 2024 refers to a period when the platform was blocked.
The regulatory environment there remains active: in October 2025 FIU-IND issued notices to 25 offshore crypto platforms over alleged PMLA violations. Check an exchange's current registration status directly before relying on it.
Referral rates, tiers and regional availability all change more often than listing sites update. Take the figure from your own Binance referral dashboard.
