The offer is simple and, on its own terms, fair. Both you and the person you refer receive a reward when they complete their first transfer. What a single headline figure hides is that the reward amount depends on where you are — and the variation is not proportionate.

$24 USD is the headline figure, and the largest. SGD 30 is roughly $22 — broadly comparable. £10 GBP is roughly $13 — a little over half the US amount.

These are approximate conversions and the rate should be checked on the day, but the ordering is not marginal and it does not depend on the precise rate: a UK referrer is being offered materially less than a US one for exactly the same work. The general habit worth taking from this: when a referral offer is quoted in a currency that is not yours, convert it before you get interested. A dollar figure on a page read worldwide flatters every market whose currency is weaker than the dollar and is simply inaccurate for all of them. Offers quoted this way are common, and the conversion is the first thing to do, not the last.

On the trigger: the reward requires a completed first transfer, not a sign-up, which is the honest kind of trigger, since it means the company pays when it has actually gained a customer rather than an app install. Establish whether a minimum transfer amount applies in your market, since no minimum is stated here and comparable services in this category commonly set one at £200 or €100.

One oddity worth flagging: the terms refer to "building panda points" — a points system described nowhere else. If a rewards currency exists alongside the cash bonus, its terms are a separate question: what a point is worth, whether points expire, and whether they can be withdrawn or only spent on fees. Ask before assuming points are money.

And the standing caution for this whole category: money held with a transfer provider is generally safeguarded rather than covered by a deposit compensation scheme. Safeguarded funds are your own money held separately from the firm's, returnable if it fails — but no compensation scheme tops up a shortfall, and returns are administered rather than automatic. The exchange rate margin is usually a larger cost than the fee, so a service advertising low fees can be the dearest available — and on a transfer of any size that difference will exceed a one-off $24 within a couple of transactions.
