How to Use a 2Captcha Referral Code

Work out the hourly rate first

About $1 per 1,000 for reCAPTCHA v2, and roughly six solves a minute means 1,000 takes just under three hours. That is $1–$2 an hour.

Ask why anyone pays for it

Because a CAPTCHA is a security control, and getting past it has value to whoever wants past it.

Know the range of customers

SEO and research tooling, scraping and automation, ticketing and retail bots — and a documented grey market in account creation and credential stuffing.

Understand that you cannot tell them apart

Challenges arrive stripped of context, and you are paid identically whichever customer you served.

Why Choose 2Captcha?

The lowest hourly rate documented on this site

Across more than two hundred stores, and at or below the dollar-an-hour line this project uses as a benchmark.

A CAPTCHA exists to separate people from software

So solving one for a customer is being paid to defeat, on their behalf, a control a site deliberately installed.

No visibility into the end use

You cannot tell whether a solve let a researcher check a price or let someone test a stolen password.

A percentage referral is worst here

It gives you a financial interest in someone continuing at the worst-paid work on this website, for about $8 a month.

About 2Captcha

The pay is the lowest this project has documented. The more useful question is why anyone pays for it at all — and the answer is the page.

Start with the rate, because it settles most of the question on its own.

Reported worker rates are $0.14 to $0.60 per 1,000 ordinary captchas, and about $1 per 1,000 for reCAPTCHA v2 — the higher-paying type. At a working pace of roughly six solves a minute, a thousand takes just under three hours.

So the realistic rate is about $1 to $2 an hour at the better end of the range.

That is the lowest hourly figure documented anywhere in this project, across more than two hundred stores. Throughout this site the standing benchmark has been that anyone valuing their time above roughly a dollar an hour should do something else — and this is the one platform where the advertised work sits at or below that line rather than merely near it.

Which raises the question this page exists to answer: if the work is worth so little, why does anyone pay for it at all?

Because a CAPTCHA is a security control, and defeating it has value to whoever wants past it.

A CAPTCHA exists for one reason: a website decided that some of its functions should be available to people and not to automated software. Account registration, ticket purchasing, form submission, search results, checkout. The challenge is the site's attempt to tell the two apart.

A CAPTCHA-solving service is the market's answer to that. A customer's software encounters a challenge, sends it to the service, a worker somewhere solves it, and the answer is returned so the software can continue. The worker is the human component that makes automated traffic look human.

Who the customers are, according to the sources that describe this market:

SEO tooling and market research — software checking search rankings or gathering pricing data at scale.
Web scraping pipelines and general automation — including uses many people would consider entirely ordinary.
Ticketing and limited-edition retail bots — software that reserves concert tickets or limited-release trainers faster than a person can, which is why those items are so often unobtainable at face value.
And, per the same sources, a substantial grey market in automated account creation and credential stuffing — mass registration of accounts, and testing stolen username and password combinations against sites at volume.

The point a prospective worker most needs is this: you cannot see which of those you are serving. Challenges arrive as images or puzzles stripped of context. There is no way to tell whether the solve you just submitted let a researcher check a price, let a bot buy fifty concert tickets, or let someone test a stolen password against a bank. You are paid identically for all three.

We are not going to moralise about that, and we are not going to pretend it is not the case either. Solving captchas for a paying customer is being paid to defeat, on someone else's behalf, a control a site deliberately installed. For a great many customers that is unremarkable. For some of them it is not. A person deciding whether to do this work is entitled to know both facts before starting, and almost no listing tells them.

On the referral, briefly. The scheme pays 10% of a referred person's earnings, described as lifetime. Apply the arithmetic this project applies to every such offer: a lifetime percentage is cheap to promise where the base is tiny. If a referred worker earns $2 in an hour and works ten hours a week, they make about $80 a month, and your 10% is $8. That is the realistic ceiling for a committed referral, and most people will not persist at this rate for a month.

And the structural point applies with unusual force here. A percentage of a friend's earnings pays you more the more hours they spend on work paying $1–$2 an hour. Our PipeFlare page sets out why flat referral fees are cleaner: they leave you with no stake in what the other person does next. Here you would have a direct financial interest in someone continuing at the worst-paid work on this website. Eight dollars a month is not a reason to encourage that.

If you are considering this as work: the honest comparison is not against other captcha services but against anything else at all. Almost any alternative use of three hours pays better, including the survey and offerwall platforms elsewhere on this site, which are themselves poor. This page exists to say that plainly rather than to sell you a listing.
