CryptoTab Referral Code
CryptoTab mining earns about $1 a month and can cost over $10 in electricity
CryptoTab is a web browser with a built-in cryptocurrency mining function that uses the user's own computer to mine while browsing, paying out in Bitcoin.
Genie Says
CryptoTab mines cryptocurrency using your own computer while you browse, and the arithmetic does not support it. Ordinary consumer hardware yields commonly under $1–$2 a month, while a mid-range laptop mining continuously draws roughly 0.1–0.2 kWh per hour — over $10 a month in electricity at about $0.15/kWh. That is a return of roughly minus $8 to minus $9 monthly, making it the only offer across 188 stores with a negative expected value on arithmetic alone. Heat, fan wear and shortened battery life add uncounted depreciation. Reviews note earnings are negligible without a strong referral network, which describes the real model: the recruitment, not the mining. If you want Bitcoin exposure, buy $10 of it instead.

How to Use a CryptoTab Referral Code
Price the electricity before anything else
Roughly 0.1–0.2 kWh per hour on a mid-range laptop; at about $0.15/kWh that is over $10 a month running all day.
Compare it with what is mined
Commonly under $1–$2 a month on average hardware. The gap is the return, and it is negative.
Add hardware wear
Continuous high utilisation means heat, harder-working fans and shortened battery life — depreciation on a device you paid for.
Notice where the earnings actually are
Reviews say returns are negligible without a strong referral network. The recruitment is the model, not the mining.
Reward Details
- Your Reward
- Mining earnings on ordinary hardware are commonly under $1–$2 per month, against electricity costs that can exceed $10 per month.
- Referrer Reward
- A share of referred users' mining. Reviews note earnings are negligible without a large referral network — which is a description of where the money actually is.
- Minimum Purchase
- None, but the running cost falls on you: electricity, heat, fan wear and battery life.
- Validity
- Ongoing, which is the problem rather than the benefit — the cost accrues continuously.
- Available In
- USA, UK, India, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Japan, China, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Mexico, South Korea, Russia, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Poland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Cyprus, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt, Kenya, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, New Zealand, Greece, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Qatar
- Referral Limit
- Not the relevant term. The relevant term is that the underlying activity has a negative return.
- Payout Time
- There are user reports of withdrawal difficulties. Treat any accrued balance as uncertain.
- Eligibility
- Requires running mining on your own hardware, which draws roughly 0.1–0.2 kWh per hour on a mid-range laptop.
Why Choose CryptoTab?
Across 188 stores, every other reward is positive and conditional. This one loses money before any condition applies.
The cost lands on your electricity bill; a fraction returns to you as Bitcoin.
Continuous high utilisation shortens hardware life, and residual value is worth more than most people assume.
If exposure is what you want, purchase it at a known cost instead.
About CryptoTab
This is the only offer on this site whose expected value is negative on arithmetic alone, before a single condition is applied.
This page exists to do one calculation, because once it is done there is very little else to say.
CryptoTab is a browser that mines cryptocurrency using your own computer while you use it. The proposition is that browsing becomes productive. The arithmetic does not support it, and the shortfall is not marginal.
What it earns. Solo mining through the browser on ordinary consumer hardware yields very little — commonly under $1 a month, and reported figures cluster around $1 to $2 a month on an average machine.
What it costs. A mid-range laptop mining continuously draws roughly 0.1 to 0.2 kWh per hour. At an average US residential electricity rate of about $0.15 per kWh, running it all day comes to over $10 a month.
So the return is somewhere between minus $8 and minus $9 a month. You are paying roughly five to ten times what you earn, and the money moves from your electricity bill to your electricity supplier while a fraction of it comes back to you as Bitcoin. Across 188 stores written for this project, this is the only reward with a negative expected value on arithmetic alone — everywhere else the question is whether a positive reward survives its conditions. Here there is nothing to survive.
And the costs do not stop at the bill. Running a processor at high utilisation continuously generates heat, runs fans harder, and shortens battery life on a laptop. Thermal cycling is one of the main determinants of how long consumer hardware lasts. Add the depreciation of a device you paid several hundred to a couple of thousand for, and the calculation gets worse rather than better. Our Cashify page makes the same point from the other direction: residual value is worth several times any discount, and treating a machine as disposable is an expensive habit.
Now the part that explains why the product exists at all.
Reviews of CryptoTab consistently note that earnings are negligible "unless you have a strong referral network". Read that sentence carefully, because it is a description of the actual business model. The mining is not where the money is for a user. The recruitment is. A user who wants a meaningful return is being directed, by the platform's own economics, away from the advertised activity and toward signing other people up — each of whom will also run down their own hardware and pay their own electricity bill.
Be precise about what that does and does not mean. This is not a claim that CryptoTab is an enrollment scheme in the legal sense — the test our batch-47 research sets out is whether income comes primarily from enrolling members or from genuine value delivered, and mining does produce some real output. The accurate statement is narrower and quite damning enough: the advertised activity has a negative return, and the only route to a positive one is recruiting other people into a negative-return activity.
There are also reports of withdrawal difficulties, which is the failure mode to expect in any product where the underlying economics make timely payouts to a large user base hard to sustain. We do not need to resolve those reports to give the advice, because the advice is the same either way.
If you want exposure to Bitcoin, buy some. A one-off purchase of $10 of Bitcoin leaves you strictly better off than a month of browser mining that cost you $10 in electricity to produce $1 of it — and our Relai and CoinJar pages set out how to do that at a known, comparable cost. If you want to use a browser, use one that does not charge you for the privilege.
