GoSats Referral Code

GoSats pays real Bitcoin, which is unusual and genuinely interesting. It also quotes the reward in a unit that makes it sound far larger than it is, which is worth converting before you get excited.

GoSats pays 2,000 satoshis per successful referral, to both sides, once the person you referred completes their first transaction. Before deciding what that is worth, convert it.

A satoshi is one hundred-millionth of a bitcoin. 2,000 sats is therefore 0.00002 BTC. Whatever bitcoin is trading at, multiply by 0.00002 to get the actual value — at a bitcoin price of ₹50 lakh, 2,000 sats is around ₹100. That is a perfectly reasonable referral reward for a cashback app. It is not what "Earn Free Bitcoin" and a four-digit number suggest, and the unit is chosen precisely because it produces a large-looking figure from a small amount.

This is the same arithmetic problem as OneCard's reward points elsewhere on this site: a reward denominated in a unit most people cannot instinctively price. The difference is that sats are at least honest — they are a real, divisible unit of a real asset — where points are an invented currency. But the conversion still has to be done.

What GoSats actually offers is more interesting than the referral. It pays cashback in Bitcoin or gold on ordinary spending, up to 3%, through a VISA prepaid card that is RBI-regulated. That structure — routine spending accumulating a volatile asset in small increments — is a genuine product idea, and the card being regulated matters in a category where a lot of crypto-adjacent products are not.

The honest caveat is the one that comes with any bitcoin-denominated reward: the value moves after you receive it, in both directions. 2,000 sats today is 2,000 sats next year, but what it is worth is anyone's guess. If you want a predictable return, a rupee-denominated cashback app will give you one; if you want exposure to bitcoin accumulated through spending you were doing anyway, that is what this is for.

Note also that crypto holdings in India attract the flat 30% virtual digital asset tax on gains plus 1% TDS, which applies to accumulated sats as much as to bought ones.
