Genie Says

11Wickets' ₹50 bonus cash referral cannot lawfully be offered or advertised in India. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 prohibits online money games nationally with no skill-versus-chance distinction, and the Rules have been in force since 1 May 2026. The app's old restrictions in five states, and its APK-only distribution, were early signals; the prohibition is now national. Free-to-play fantasy remains lawful.

Referral codes are not listed for 11Wickets. Real-money fantasy sports is prohibited across India under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, which replaced the earlier state-by-state restrictions with a national prohibition. The ₹50 bonus cash could only ever be spent on paid contest entry.

How to Use a 11wickets Referral Code

The state map no longer applies

11Wickets used to be blocked in five states. A single national prohibition has replaced that patchwork entirely.

Fantasy is inside the Act

The statute makes no skill-versus-chance distinction, so fantasy sports played for money is covered along with rummy and poker.

The Rules are operational

In force since 1 May 2026, with the Online Gaming Authority of India empowered to decide what counts as a money game.

Free-to-play is still lawful

The Act promotes e-sports and social games. A fantasy app with no stake and no cash prize is not what was banned.

Why Choose 11wickets?

APK distribution was the tell

The app was downloaded directly from its own site because Play Store policy would not carry it — a signal about the category, visible long before the Act.

Five states became all of India

Assam, Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Nagaland already prohibited paid contests. The 2025 Act made that national.

Bonus cash was never withdrawable

It could only be spent on paid contest entry — so its entire value depended on the activity that is now prohibited.

Renaming the entry fee will not help

The Online Gaming Authority of India can look at staking mechanism, expectation of winnings and revenue model to decide what a game really is.

About 11wickets

11Wickets used to advertise ₹50 bonus cash to both sides of a referral. Fantasy sports played for money is now prohibited across India, and the state-by-state map that used to govern this app no longer decides anything.

11Wickets is a fantasy sports app covering cricket, football and kabaddi, of the second tier that grew up behind Dream11 and My11Circle. Its referral offer was ₹50 in bonus cash to each side. That offer cannot lawfully be made in India any more, and the reason is worth setting out properly because it also explains why the app's old availability rules are now irrelevant.

Before August 2025, real-money fantasy sports in India was governed state by state. 11Wickets was unavailable to users in Assam, Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Nagaland, where state law prohibited paid contests. Like many apps in this category it was also distributed as a direct APK download from its own website rather than through the Play Store, because the store's policies would not carry it. Both facts told you something: this was a category operating at the edge of what was permitted, and the map of where it was permitted kept shrinking.

That map has now been replaced by a single national rule. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 received Presidential assent on 22 August 2025 and prohibits online money games throughout India. It makes no distinction between games of skill and games of chance, which removes the argument fantasy sports had relied on. Section 5 prohibits offering such a game, section 6 prohibits advertising one, and section 7 prohibits facilitating the payments. Section 9(2) puts the advertising penalty at up to two years' imprisonment or a fine up to ₹50 lakh, or both.

The regime is fully operational rather than pending. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Rules, 2026 were notified on 22 April 2026 and came into force on 1 May 2026. They set up the Online Gaming Authority of India, which has power to determine whether any given game is an online money game by reference to its entry fees, staking mechanism, expectation of winnings and revenue model. A small app cannot avoid the Act by describing an entry fee as something else.

So a bonus paid because someone joined and put money into a contest is not something 11Wickets can offer or that this site can advertise. We are not going to publish codes for it and pretend the last year did not happen.

Two things remain true and useful. Free-to-play fantasy is lawful — the Act expressly promotes e-sports and online social games, and several operators in this category have pivoted to exactly that. And if you hold a balance from the paid era, deal with the operator's own support channel to withdraw it. Offers to recover gaming funds through an intermediary have followed every shutdown in this market, and they are best treated as fraud until proven otherwise.
