BestSecret's own membership terms restrict invitations to friends and family and prohibit public sharing — worth knowing before posting a code anywhere, including here.

BestSecret's own General Terms state that invitations are for friends and family only, that members are not allowed to share them publicly, and that doing so may lead to removal from the community. A public referral-code listing is precisely the kind of sharing those terms describe as prohibited. Anyone considering submitting a BestSecret code to a public listing should read the current terms first and weigh the risk to their own membership — the consequence falls on the person who shares, not on the person who uses a code.

If you are a BestSecret member, sending your invitation to a named friend is exactly what the programme is for and is entirely permitted. Posting the same invitation somewhere public is a different act under the same terms.

Referral rights are also rationed by membership tier. Per BestSecret's own terms, Basic members generally have five referral rights per year, Silver members ten, and Gold members fifteen. That is a hard annual cap, and a different kind of limit from a simple earnings cap: it limits how many people you may invite at all, not merely what you can earn from doing so. The programme is not built as a volume opportunity.

That rationing follows from what BestSecret actually is: an invitation-only members' outlet, where scarcity of access is part of the proposition. Brands supply discounted stock on the understanding that it is not visible to the open web. The referral limit, the friends-and-family rule and the removal penalty all protect that arrangement, which is also why they are likely to be enforced rather than overlooked.

The reward itself is smaller and vaguer than a flat figure would suggest. The friend receives a percentage, not a sum — around 10% off a first order. A percentage has no fixed value: 10% is £5 on a £50 order and £50 on a £500 one, so the reward is decided by how much the friend spends, not by the offer. The referrer's side is reported in points plus a discount code, and no conversion rate is stated for a point. The standing questions apply: how many pounds or euros is a point worth on redemption, is there a minimum redemption and does one referral clear it, do points expire, and can the rate be changed by the issuer?

Three things are worth more than the discount if you actually shop here. The returns policy, and who pays return postage — on discounted designer stock bought unseen, sizing is the single largest hidden cost, and a members' outlet is exactly where return terms tend to be least generous. Whether a refund is money or store credit, since only one of those is actually a refund. And whether an item is current-season or end-of-line, because an outlet's discount is calculated against a recommended price the item may never have sold at — compare against what the piece actually costs elsewhere today, not against the number struck through.
