The useful thing this page can give you is not a referral figure. It is how to read a water label — which applies to every bottle you will ever buy, not just this brand.

**⚠️ Bottled water is a category where the label carries more useful information than any offer, so this page leads with the label.**

**✅ THERE ARE TWO INDIAN STANDARDS, AND THEY ARE NOT THE SAME THING.**

**• IS 14543:2016 — PACKAGED DRINKING WATER (other than natural mineral water).** ✅ **This may come from ANY treated source.** **Municipal supply, borewell, surface water — treated, purified, mineral-balanced and bottled.**
**• IS 13428:2005 — PACKAGED NATURAL MINERAL WATER.** ✅ **This must come from a CERTIFIED NATURAL UNDERGROUND SOURCE.**

**⚠️⚠️ AND HERE IS THE NUMBER THAT SETTLES HOW INDIANS ACTUALLY DRINK: BIS HAS GRANTED OVER 6,200 LICENCES AGAINST IS 14543 AND JUST OVER 30 AGAINST IS 13428.**

✅ **So when people in India say "mineral water" — which almost everybody does, as a generic term for a sealed bottle — the product in their hand is, overwhelmingly likely, TREATED PACKAGED DRINKING WATER.** ⚠️ **Genuine natural mineral water is rare: roughly thirty licensed producers against more than six thousand.**

**✅ THAT IS NOT A SCANDAL AND IT IS NOT AN ACCUSATION AGAINST ANY BRAND.** **Treated packaged drinking water is a perfectly good product, and for most purposes there is no reason to want anything else.** ⚠️ **But it does mean that anyone paying a premium in the belief they are buying water from a natural spring should check the standard number on the bottle**, ✅ **because the label has to tell you and the everyday word does not.**

**✅ BOTH STANDARDS ARE UNDER COMPULSORY BIS CERTIFICATION.** **No person may manufacture, sell or exhibit for sale packaged drinking water or natural mineral water in India except under the BIS Certification Mark** — **the ISI mark.** ⚠️ **And both the BIS licence number and the FSSAI number must appear on the label**, **with bottling plants required to hold a State or Central FSSAI licence.**

**⚠️ SO THE THIRTY-SECOND CHECK, WHICH IS WORTH MORE THAN ANY REFERRAL REWARD ON THIS WEBSITE:**
**1. ✅ Is there an ISI mark, with a BIS licence number?**
**2. ✅ Is there an FSSAI number?**
**3. ✅ Which standard is cited — IS 14543 (treated) or IS 13428 (natural mineral)?**
**4. ⚠️ Is the cap seal intact, and is the bottle undamaged?**

**⚠️ THAT FOURTH ONE MATTERS MORE THAN THE OTHERS IN PRACTICE.** ✅ **Refilling used branded bottles with untreated water and reselling them is a well-known problem in India**, **and no certification on a label protects you from a bottle that was refilled after it left the plant.** ✅ **Break the seal yourself. If it is already broken, do not drink it** — **and that advice costs nothing and applies to every brand equally.**

**⚠️ AND A WARNING ABOUT THE THINGS THAT ARE NOT ORDINARY WATER.** ✅ **Products marketed as alkaline water, black water, copper water and similar are frequently sold on health claims with no regulatory oversight behind them**, **and where they carry no ISI mark they sit outside the certification regime described above.** ⚠️ **Any non-aerated bottled beverage in India bearing the word "water" needs both a BIS licence and an FSSAI licence.** ✅ **If a bottle makes a health claim and carries no ISI mark, treat the claim as marketing.**

**⚠️ Now, briefly, on the referral itself.** **Our record for this store is thin, and we are not going to invent terms for it.** ✅ **Establish in the app or on the company's own site what is actually offered, to whom, and on what minimum order** — **and note that bottled water is a low-value, high-frequency purchase where delivery economics dominate**, **so any discount should be compared against the delivered price per litre rather than per bottle.**

**✅ ONE PIECE OF ARITHMETIC WORTH DOING ONCE.** **Compare the delivered cost per litre of bottled water against a home filtration system amortised over its life, including filter replacements and servicing.** ⚠️ **For a household drinking bottled water daily, the crossover usually arrives far sooner than people expect** — ✅ **and this project made the same point about rented water purifiers, where the deciding number was the purchase price plus servicing divided by the monthly rental.** **The referral reward, whatever it turns out to be, is not part of that calculation.**
