Vivid Money logo €20 of stock in, an interest rate out

Vivid Money Referral Code

Vivid pays €20 of stock to the inviter and an interest rate to the invitee — nobody receives the €50 our old page promised, and Vivid is an e-money firm, not a bank

Vivid is a European financial app offering accounts, cards, investing and interest-bearing "Pockets". Vivid Money S.A. is a Luxembourg electronic money institution supervised by the CSSF; it is not a bank.

Genie Says

Vivid's referral does not pay €50 to anyone, despite what our previous page said. Per Vivid's own programme the inviter gets €20 per friend into a Stock Rewards Pocket for the first five friends, lower thereafter, and the person signing up gets no cash at all — an increased 3% fixed rate for two months on uninvested cash in an Interest Rate Pocket. Two months of a 3% annual rate is 0.5% of the balance, and only the margin over the ordinary rate is really the reward. Three conditions inside 90 days: physical card ordered, €100 topped up, and an Interest Rate Pocket opened. Structurally, Vivid is not a bank: Vivid Money S.A. is a Luxembourg electronic money institution supervised by the CSSF, so money is safeguarded rather than covered by a deposit guarantee — and commentary still citing a German partner-bank guarantee is describing an earlier structure.

How to Use a Vivid Money Referral Code

Ignore the €50 — it is not what is paid

€20 goes to the inviter as a stock reward for each of the first five friends. The person signing up gets a rate, not cash.

Price the rate before valuing it

A 3% annual rate held for two months is 0.5% of the balance — €5 on €1,000 — and only the margin above the ordinary rate is the actual reward.

Note the third condition

Card ordered, €100 topped up, AND an Interest Rate Pocket opened, all within 90 days. Skip the Pocket and there is nothing to pay the rate into.

Check who holds the money, today

Vivid Money S.A. is a Luxembourg e-money institution — safeguarded, not guaranteed. Published commentary describing a German deposit guarantee is describing an earlier structure.

Reward Details

Your Reward
⚠️⚠️ NOT €50. Per Vivid's own programme the invitee receives NO CASH — an increased fixed rate of 3% for TWO MONTHS on uninvested cash in an Interest Rate Pocket. Two months of a 3% annual rate is 0.5% of the balance, and only the margin over the ordinary rate is actually the reward.
Referrer Reward
€20 per friend paid into a STOCK REWARDS POCKET, for the first 5 friends (€100 total). Vivid states the reward may be lower for the sixth and beyond.
Minimum Purchase
⚠️ THREE conditions within 90 days of registering: order the first PHYSICAL card; top up at least €100; and OPEN AN INTEREST RATE POCKET. The third gates the invitee's entire benefit.
Validity
The invitee's rate boost runs for two months.
Available In
Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Poland, Cyprus, Greece, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary
Referral Limit
Full €20 rate for the first five friends; lower thereafter, per Vivid.
Payout Time
After the invited person completes all three conditions inside the 90-day window.
Eligibility
⚠️ Inviting is limited to residents of Austria, Cyprus, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain. ⚠️⚠️ And note: Vivid Money S.A. is a LUXEMBOURG ELECTRONIC MONEY INSTITUTION supervised by the CSSF (register W00000015, authorised 9 Nov 2020) — money is SAFEGUARDED, not covered by a deposit guarantee.

Why Choose Vivid Money?

⚠️⚠️ Nobody receives the €50 we advertised

Vivid pays €20 of stock to the inviter and an interest rate to the invitee. Our old page was wrong about both the size and the kind of the reward.

⚠️ The two sides are in different units

A stock reward you can price against a rate you cannot, unless you know the balance and the ordinary rate. Do the arithmetic: two months of 3% is 0.5%.

⚠️⚠️ Not a bank — an e-money institution

Vivid Money S.A. is authorised in Luxembourg and supervised by the CSSF. Money is safeguarded in segregated accounts, not covered by a deposit guarantee scheme.

✅ Protection follows the entity, and entities change

Much published commentary still describes a partner-bank deposit guarantee that no longer applies. Check the firm's current terms and the regulator's register, not a review.

About Vivid Money

Our previous page advertised €50 for signing up, and in one place €100. Vivid's own published terms describe something different in both size and kind, and the difference is worth setting out carefully.

⚠️⚠️ CORRECTION FIRST, BECAUSE OUR OWN RECORD WAS WRONG ABOUT BOTH THE SIZE AND THE KIND OF THIS REWARD. Our page said "sign up with a referral code and get €50", and our meta description said up to €100. ✅ Vivid's own published programme describes neither.

✅ WHAT IT ACTUALLY PAYS, ACCORDING TO VIVID:
• ⚠️ THE INVITER receives €20 per friend, PAID INTO A STOCK REWARDS POCKET — for the FIRST FIVE FRIENDS, a total of €100. For the sixth friend and beyond, the reward may be lower.
• ⚠️⚠️ THE INVITEE — the person signing up — RECEIVES NO CASH AT ALL. The stated benefit is an increased fixed annual interest rate of 3% for TWO MONTHS on uninvested cash held in an Interest Rate Pocket.

⚠️ So the €50 we advertised was going to nobody, ✅ and the two sides of this deal are not even denominated in the same thing: one is a stock reward, the other is a rate for a limited period. This project has met that shape before, and the complaint is not that it is unfair — it is that one side is measurable and the other is not.

✅ SO MEASURE IT. THE ARITHMETIC TAKES TEN SECONDS AND IS THE WHOLE POINT.

⚠️ A 3% ANNUAL rate held for TWO MONTHS is one sixth of a year — 0.5% of the balance. On €1,000 of uninvested cash that is €5. ⚠️⚠️ And even that overstates it, because 3% is an INCREASED rate: the reward is only the MARGIN above whatever the ordinary rate would have been.If the standard rate were 2%, two months of the boost is worth about €1.67 on €1,000. A rate is not a payment, and a rate quoted per year but granted for two months is a number chosen to look larger than it is.

✅ THE CONDITIONS, WHICH ARE THREE, NOT ONE. Within 90 days of registering, the invited person must: order their first PHYSICAL card; top up at least €100; and OPEN AN INTEREST RATE POCKET. ⚠️ That third condition is easy to miss and is the one that gates the invitee's entire benefitthe reward is a rate, so if you never open the product that pays the rate, there is nothing to receive.Vivid also states it may cancel the benefits where a transaction is reversed or where it detects misuse.

⚠️ The programme is also GEOGRAPHICALLY LIMITED. Vivid lists Austria, Cyprus, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain as the countries whose residents can invite — ✅ elsewhere you may be invited but cannot invite.

✅ NOW THE PART THAT MATTERS MORE THAN THE REWARD, AND WHICH ALMOST EVERY OTHER PAGE ABOUT THIS COMPANY GETS WRONG.

⚠️⚠️ VIVID IS NOT A BANK, AND THE MONEY IS NOT UNDER A DEPOSIT GUARANTEE.

Vivid Money S.A. is an ELECTRONIC MONEY INSTITUTION, authorised in Luxembourg and supervised by the CSSF, entered in its register of electronic money institutions under number W00000015 and authorised on 9 November 2020. Vivid's own description of how it holds money is the e-money description: funds kept in segregated accounts with credit institutions, held separately from the firm's own funds. That is SAFEGUARDINGreal protection, and it works: the money is not the firm's to lose and is returned if the firm fails — ⚠️ but no compensation scheme tops up a shortfall, and a return is administered rather than automatic.

⚠️⚠️ AND HERE IS THE THING WORTH CARRYING AWAY FROM THIS PAGE TO EVERY OTHER APP YOU USE. A great deal of published commentary still says Vivid customers are covered by the €100,000 German deposit guarantee through a partner bank. That described an EARLIER ARRANGEMENT. The company later obtained its own licence, and the entity holding the money changed.

PROTECTION IS A PROPERTY OF THE LEGAL ENTITY THAT CURRENTLY HOLDS YOUR MONEY, AND THAT ENTITY CHANGES WITHOUT THE APP LOOKING ANY DIFFERENT. ⚠️ A review article, a comparison site or a forum answer describes the structure that existed when it was written. The only two reliable sources are the firm's own current terms and the regulator's public register — both free, both quick, and both worth checking before you leave a meaningful balance anywhere.

⚠️ One further note, because it is unusual and it reads as a stronger claim than it is. Vivid states that uninvested cash held through its Dutch investment entity can be protected for the whole amount, above €100,000, by placing it in qualifying money market funds and similar instruments through a separate foundation. That is a genuine and quite common structure for an investment firm — ⚠️ but note WHY the cap does not apply: it is not a deposit at all. The money is held as ASSETS, and those assets carry their own risk, however conservative."Protected above €100,000" and "guaranteed" are different sentences.

✅ Finally, a piece of context you should have before recommending the app. In March 2025 Vivid announced it would stop developing its retail product and focus on business banking for SMEs and freelancers. ⚠️ Existing personal accounts were not forced to close — ✅ but a product whose consumer side is no longer the company's priority is a fair thing to know before persuading a friend to move money into it.
