The ₹2,000 figure belongs to driver recruitment, not to referrals — here are the real referral numbers, and there are two of them.

"Earn ₹2000 daily" describes driver earnings, not referral income. Chiku Cab's driver-recruitment material reads "start driving today" and "boost your income with flexible hours and great pay" — a driver-recruitment pitch. None of it describes sharing a link. The ₹2,000 is what a driver might earn in a day.

That kind of substitution — a work-income figure reprinted as a reward — shares a shape with a defect found on a jobs-and-skilling app elsewhere, where an advertised salary range had been turned into an earnings promise. In both cases, the number is real and belongs to the right company, but it describes work income rather than a reward. Both target the same reader: somebody looking for work, which is why it matters more than an overstated discount — a person seeking income is the least able to absorb a wasted week and the most likely to act on the promise.

The arithmetic settles it without needing any inside knowledge. The customer referral pays around ₹100 per successful referral. To reach "₹2,000 daily" you would need twenty successful referrals every single day — six hundred a month, and indefinitely, because the claim was "daily".

There are also two different schemes:
1. The customer referral — reported at about ₹100 per successful referral, paid promptly.
2. The vendor referral — reported at ₹1,000 for referring another cab operator to the platform, and credited to a Chiku Cab recharge wallet rather than paid as cash.

Those are not interchangeable. The ₹1,000 is not available to an ordinary passenger — it requires introducing a business, not a friend. And wallet credit is only worth ₹1,000 to somebody who spends ₹1,000 on the platform, which for a cab operator means recharging to keep taking bookings — so it is an operating input rebate rather than income.

Chiku Cab started in 2018 and is reported operating across 250+ cities, covering outstation, local, corporate and airport journeys, and separately offers driver-hire services. It is an aggregator connecting customers with cab operators rather than a fleet owner, which is worth knowing because it determines who is accountable when a journey goes wrong.

If you are considering driving rather than referring, the rule that matters: a legitimate platform never asks a driver to pay to start work. No registration fee, no security deposit, no training charge, no payment to "activate" an account or release earnings. And treat any advertised daily earnings figure as a gross best case — fuel, maintenance, platform commission and vehicle finance all come out of it, and the net is always a great deal lower than the headline.

For passengers, the checks that matter on any outstation cab booking: whether the quote is one-way or round-trip pricing, since many Indian outstation fares charge the return leg even on a one-way trip; what the per-kilometre rate is beyond the included distance; whether driver allowance, tolls, parking and state permits are included or added at the end — these additions are routinely 20–30% of an outstation fare and are the commonest source of dispute; and whether the fare is fixed or metered.
