Fraazo was one of the wave of Indian quick-commerce grocery startups funded in 2021. It did not survive the funding winter that followed.

It closed its Delhi-NCR operations entirely, then withdrew from every city except Mumbai — and scaled back even there by 50 to 60%. The shutdown that followed left vendors unpaid, employees out of work and customers with orders unresolved.

Fraazo had raised roughly $50 million in October 2021, a mix of debt and equity, intended to let it compete with BigBasket, Dunzo, Zepto and Grofers, and the founder described that as 12 to 18 months of runway. It is worth noting that Dunzo — a company Fraazo raised money specifically to compete against — followed the same path a little later, ceasing operations in January 2025. The Indian quick-commerce category consolidated hard, and most of the 2021 cohort did not survive it.
