Geekster Referral Code
Geekster pays ₹2,500 in cash per referral — but the fee model is the thing to read first
Geekster is an Indian online learning platform offering technical programmes aimed at software development careers, with career support and placement assistance.
Genie Says
Geekster's referral is ₹2,500 flat in cash — not points, not credit, not a percentage — which makes it one of the cleaner structures on this site, since it involves no conversion to work out and gives you no stake in what the referred person eventually pays. It is also small enough to stay a thank-you rather than becoming a commission that turns a recommendation into a sales role. The scrutiny belongs on the enrolment instead: establish how the programme is financed, because an upfront fee, an income share agreement and a financing-partner loan commit someone to very different things — and an ISA is a credit agreement with routes to owing the full sum without a job. On placements, assistance is not placement, percentages need their definitions, and the median matters more than the average.

How to Use a Geekster Referral Code
Note what the referral is not
Not points, not credit, not a percentage — a flat cash sum, which gives you no stake in what the referred person pays.
Resolve the fee model first
Upfront fee, income share agreement or a financing-partner loan. The answer determines what they are committing to.
Read financing separately from marketing
A school's refund policy and a lender's repayment schedule are two documents that do not automatically agree.
Ask for the median, not the average
A few high offers pull an average up. The median tells you what a typical graduate actually received.

Why Choose Geekster?
No conversion to work out, no stake in the other person's spending — worth crediting as readily as we criticise the reverse.
Small enough not to turn a recommendation into a sales role.
Providers that guarantee outcomes say so contractually. The vocabulary is the tell.
Not recent graduates still inside the enrolment experience — people far enough out to know whether it changed anything.
About Geekster
The referral structure here is one of the cleaner ones on this site. What deserves the scrutiny is what the person you refer signs.
Two things worth separating: the referral, which is straightforward, and the enrolment, which is not.
The referral first, because it is genuinely one of the better structures documented on this site.
₹2,500, flat, in cash. Not credit, not points, not a percentage of anything.
That combination is rarer than it should be. This project has documented nineteen invented currencies — points, karma, coins, credits, Wards, Wombucks — and in every case where a conversion rate could be found, the unit was worth less than it appeared. It has also documented dozens of percentage-of-a-friend structures, which pay more the more the referred person spends, borrows or trades. A flat cash payment has neither problem: it is unambiguous, it is yours, and it gives you no stake in what the other person does next.
That last point is the one that matters in education specifically. Our Lets Upgrade page sets out why: a referral fee large enough to be a commission changes your role from friend to salesperson. A flat ₹2,500 is small enough to stay a thank-you and structured so that you have no interest in how much the referred person eventually pays. That is worth naming, because this project criticises bad structures often enough that it should credit good ones with the same readiness.
Now the part that actually deserves the scrutiny: how the programme is paid for.
This is the single question to resolve before referring anyone to any Indian upskilling programme, because the answer determines what they are committing to:
If it is an upfront fee, the commitment is bounded and visible. Ask the amount, the refund window, and whether it is refundable pro-rata or not at all.
If it is "pay after placement" or an income share agreement, read our Masai page before anything else. That model is a credit agreement, usually with an NBFC rather than the school — and the documented terms there include the full sum falling due on mid-course withdrawal, and on a credit score below a threshold, neither of which requires a job to exist. The obligation begins at enrolment.
If it is a loan through a financing partner, then the borrower's counterparty is the lender, and the school's refund policy and the loan's repayment schedule are two different documents that do not automatically agree. Ask what happens to the loan if the course is abandoned or the school closes.
Get whichever applies in writing before enrolment, and read the financing agreement separately from the marketing.
On placement claims, which every provider in this category makes, the standing questions are the same:
"Placement assistance" is not placement. It typically means CV review, mock interviews and introductions to a hiring network — support rather than an outcome commitment. Providers that guarantee outcomes say so contractually; providers that do not use words like support, assistance and opportunities.
A placement percentage is meaningless without its definition — the denominator, the time window and which roles count. Ask for all three. Every provider defines them differently, and the definition does more work than the figure.
Ask about the median, not the average. A small number of high offers pulls an average upward considerably; the median tells you what a typical graduate actually received, and providers rarely volunteer it.
And the general test for any paid course: what specifically will you be able to do afterwards that you cannot do now, and who says so besides the seller? If the only source is the provider, you are being asked to take its word for the one thing you cannot check in advance. Talk to two people who finished the programme more than a year ago — not recent graduates, who are still inside the enrolment experience, but people far enough past it to know whether it changed anything.
