Genie Says

Investro is not an investing platform: you pay an entry fee to enter a contest and prizes are paid out of the pooled entry fees, so gains are funded by other participants' losses minus the platform's cut — the opposite structure to owning a share. It calls itself a Game of Skill, which is precisely the argument India's Online Gaming Act, 2025 was drafted to discard, since section 2 applies irrespective of skill or chance. Probo, TradeX, MarketWolf and GyanApp used the same financial framing and were banned.

Top Investro Referral Codes

Referral codes are not listed for Investro. It is not an investing platform — you pay an entry fee to enter a contest and prizes are paid from pooled entry fees. Section 2 of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 covers games played by paying fees with the expectation of winning, irrespective of whether they are based on skill or chance.

How to Use an Investro Referral Code

Find where the money comes from

Prize pools are assembled from entry fees. Your gain is funded by other participants' losses, minus the platform's cut.

Contrast it with owning a share

A real shareholding returns value from the company. Nobody has to be wrong for you to be right.

Know that "skill" is not a defence

Section 2 applies irrespective of skill, chance or both. It is the exact argument the Act was written to discard.

Buy the index if you want the index

NIFTY50 exposure is available through any SEBI-registered broker, with real ownership and no entry fee.

Why Choose Investro?

Zero-sum by construction

Prizes come from other users' entry fees. Investing is not zero-sum; a contest is, minus the rake.

Financial vocabulary was already tested

Probo, TradeX, MarketWolf and GyanApp framed staking as trading and were classified as money games and banned.

Entry fee plus prize equals the definition

Section 2 catches games played by paying fees with the expectation of winning, whatever the game is called.

It was filed under investing, and is not

Building a "basket" of NIFTY50 names is a scoring mechanism here, not a shareholding.

About Investro

Investro sits among the investing platforms on this site, and it does not belong there. You are not buying stocks. You are paying an entry fee to compete against other users for a share of their entry fees.

Investro asks you to build a virtual basket of stocks from NIFTY50 or DOW30 that you expect to rise or fall, and scores you against other users on the real performance of those stocks. It describes itself as a Game of Skill. It runs cash contests, each with its own size, entry fee and prize money, and our record noted a minimum deposit of ₹100.

The first thing to be clear about is that this is not investing, and the resemblance is superficial in a way that matters. When you buy a share, your return comes from the company — its earnings, its dividends, its valuation — and it does not depend on anybody else being wrong. If every investor in India buys the same good company and it does well, everyone gains. In a contest, the prize pool is assembled from entry fees. Your gain is funded by other participants' losses, minus the platform's cut. Those are opposite structures wearing similar vocabulary, and the vocabulary is doing the work: "portfolio", "basket", "stocks".

That distinction also determines the legal position. India's Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 defines an online money game in section 2 as one played by paying fees, or depositing money or other stakes, with the expectation of winning monetary or other enrichment — and it applies irrespective of whether the game is based on skill, chance, or both. A contest with an entry fee and a prize pool meets that definition. The "Game of Skill" description is not a defence; it is the specific argument the statute was drafted to discard, because it was the legal foundation the Indian real-money gaming industry had been built on.

The Act's architecture is set out at length on our pages for RummyCircle, A23 and Sixer Game: section 5 prohibits offering such a game, section 6 prohibits advertising one, section 7 prohibits facilitating the payments, offences under sections 5 and 7 are cognizable and non-bailable, and section 9(2) carries up to two years' imprisonment or a fine up to ₹50 lakh, or both. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Rules, 2026 have been in force since 1 May 2026, with the Online Gaming Authority of India empowered to classify a game by its entry fees, staking mechanism, expectation of winnings and revenue model.

It is worth noting how well-established this outcome is for stock-flavoured products specifically. Apps that framed staking on market or event outcomes as trading — Probo, TradeX, MarketWolf, GyanApp — were classified as online money games and banned. Probo shut its real-money business, and over ₹400 crore of assets connected to the platform were frozen or attached during 2025 Enforcement Directorate investigations. Financial vocabulary has been tested against this statute and it did not help.

If what you actually want is exposure to NIFTY50, that is available through any SEBI-registered broker, with a demat account, real ownership, dividends and no entry fee funding someone else's prize.
