The old headline promised a Dubai trip, a smartphone and gold. The standing programme is something else entirely, and neither told you the one thing you need.

This page previously described two different things and neither was complete.

The title, tagline and hero headline all read "Win Dubai Trip, Smartphone, Gold." That is the language of a promotional prize draw — a time-limited campaign, not a standing referral programme. The standing scheme is different: you and the person you refer each receive 100 Rigi coins, the referred person must sign up with your code, verify their email and complete their profile, and you can earn up to 10,000 Rigi coins per month. Self-referrals and immediate family are excluded.

And here is what neither version stated: what a Rigi coin is worth. This is the whole page, so it is worth stating as a rule rather than a complaint. A reward denominated in a platform's own unit is not a quantity until you know its conversion rate. "100 coins" and "10,000 coins a month" are numbers with no dimension — they could be worth ₹100 or ₹10,000 and the page reads identically either way.

The four questions to ask of any coin, point or token reward, anywhere: what is the conversion rate to money, and who sets it? If the issuer can change it, the reward has no fixed value. Can the coins be withdrawn, or only spent inside the platform? If they cannot leave, they are a discount on the platform's own fees, not income — and worth face value only to someone who was going to pay those fees anyway. Do they expire? And is there a minimum balance before they can be used or redeemed?

This test applies equally to airline-style points, wallet balances, shop credit and platform tokens, and the answer decides the reward's value far more than the headline number does. Where the conversion rate is not published at all, the honest reading is that it is not a fixed commitment.

On the prize draw, one further caution: promotional draws are legitimate and often genuine, but a headline that leads with the largest prize tells you nothing about your chances of receiving it — and a draw is not a referral rate. The same point applies to "up to" figures and randomised scratch-card rewards elsewhere: the headline is a ceiling, and where the odds or the average are unpublished, assume they are worse than the number suggests. If the campaign that produced the Dubai trip has ended, the coins are the entire programme.

Now, the thing worth knowing about the platform itself, which matters more than either reward.

Rigi is a creator-monetisation platform: paid community groups, courses, pay-to-view content, live sessions and one-to-one interactions, with the option of a branded app. If you are a creator considering it, the referral is not the decision — the platform's take rate is.

Ask, in this order: what percentage of each sale does the platform take, and does it change with volume? Are payment-gateway charges and taxes on top of that, or inside it? When is money paid out to you, and what is the minimum payout? Creator platforms commonly hold takings for a settlement period, and that period is working capital you are lending them. And can you export your audience? Specifically: can you export member contact details, in bulk, today? That question matters for any business software, and there are documented cases of an abrupt platform shutdown leaving tens of thousands of customers unable to retrieve their own records. For a creator, the audience list is the business — a platform you cannot leave with your members is a platform that owns your livelihood.

Judge Rigi on those four answers. The 100 coins are not a reason to choose a business platform, and neither is a Dubai trip.
