JioCloud Referral Code

JioCloud is alive and actively maintained. What it does not have is a documented referral programme, and being straight about that is more useful than repeating a number nobody can source.

JioCloud is Reliance's cloud storage service — automatic backup and syncing of photos, videos, contacts and files across devices, with an Indian-hosted service and reasonable upload speeds domestically. It is operating normally and continues to receive updates, so anything you may have read about it being discontinued is wrong.

What it does not appear to have is a published refer-a-friend programme.

We looked for one. Reliance does not document referral terms for JioCloud — there is no refer-a-friend page, no help-centre article covering invites, and no terms describing a referral reward. The figures that circulate for a "JioCloud referral code" on listing sites do not trace back to any Reliance source, and we are not going to repeat one of them and present it as a term.

That is a deliberate choice and it is worth explaining, because it is the same one applied elsewhere on this site. Where a brand publishes nothing, every number online is somebody's screenshot of a promotion that may never have existed in that form, and repeating it is how the rest of this category ends up wrong. If a JioCloud promotion is running on your account, it will be visible inside the app, and that is the only version that applies to you.

Two things are worth knowing if you were considering JioCloud on its merits rather than for a code. Reliance periodically bundles JioCloud storage with Jio mobile and broadband plans, so if you are a Jio subscriber you may already have more capacity than you realise — check your plan before paying for anything. And as a general point for any cloud service: storage granted through a promotion or bundle is only as durable as the promotion. Keep anything you genuinely cannot lose on storage you own outright rather than on bonus capacity, whichever provider it comes from.

If your goal was to earn from cloud storage referrals, the alternatives with documented programmes are the practical route — Dropbox pays 500 MB per referral permanently, and MEGA pays 5 GB per referral although its bonuses expire after 365 days. Both publish their terms, which is the difference that matters here.
