Borzo's referral programme, as the company documents it, is for delivery partners rather than for customers.

A courier already working with Borzo shares a unique referral code from their profile in the app. When a new delivery partner signs up with that code and completes their first delivery, the referring partner receives 100 bonus points within seven days. Once the new partner completes five deliveries, the referring partner receives a further 400 bonus points within the following fourteen days.

That structure is deliberately weighted toward retention rather than signups. 100 points for a first delivery and 400 for the fifth means most of the value is paid for a courier who actually sticks — which is the real problem in gig delivery, where a large proportion of people who sign up never complete a meaningful number of jobs.
