One honest observation in its favour, and one qualification.

The observation: a percentage discount is worth more in absolute terms on an expensive basket. Ten percent of a premium grocery order is more rupees than ten percent of a discount one, so among the offers in this batch this is arithmetically one of the more valuable — for anyone who was going to shop at this price level anyway.

The qualification, which matters more: a discount on a higher price is not automatically a better outcome than paying the lower price elsewhere. 10% off a basket costing 40% more is still more expensive. That comparison sounds obvious written down and is routinely lost in practice, because a percentage feels like a saving regardless of what it is applied to. The only meaningful check is the final rupee cost of your actual items across services, and it usually takes one shop to establish.

Where premium grocery genuinely earns its price, stated fairly, because the qualification above is not a dismissal:

Range that other services do not carry. Imported and speciality items, particular cuts, ingredients that ordinary supermarkets stock inconsistently or not at all. If you cook something that needs a specific ingredient, availability is not a luxury — it is the difference between making the dish and not.

Consistency in perishables. Meat, seafood and dairy are the categories where quality varies most and where variation is least acceptable. A service that is reliably good on those is worth paying for in a way that one which is reliably good on packaged goods is not, because packaged goods are identical everywhere.

Where it does not: staples and household essentials. Rice, oil, detergent and cleaning products are the same products wherever you buy them, and paying a premium for identical packaged goods is the clearest avoidable cost in grocery. The efficient pattern is to split the basket — speciality and perishables where quality and range justify the price, commodities wherever they are cheapest — and that single habit saves more over a year than every discount in this batch combined.

The standing grocery checks apply as elsewhere: a one-off percentage on a weekly purchase is a fraction of annual spend, so recurring terms matter far more — delivery fees, free-delivery thresholds, substitution policy and slot availability. And a minimum basket that induces you to add items has increased your spend rather than reduced it, which in a premium service is a more expensive mistake than in a budget one.
