Profee Referral Code

This is a rarity in this category: terms that agree with themselves. That is worth saying plainly — and there is still one unverifiable claim removed here.

The terms are consistent across every part of the record, which in this category is unusual enough to be worth stating first.

Both sides receive €10. The referred person must complete a first transfer of €100 or more, within 30 days of signing up. The €10 is credited to the Profee account automatically once that transfer completes. Referred people must be new customers, self-referrals are excluded, and no cap on the number of referrals is stated.

One figure, one trigger, one deadline, no cap. Compare that with the pages beside it in this category — one whose reward was worth half as much in the UK as the headline suggested, one that stated two figures three times apart, and one whose scheme belonged to a different product. This is the offer with the least to correct.

One claim has been removed: that "the Profee referral program is valid globally. Anyone can participate, regardless of their location." That sentence appears near-verbatim on many pages of this kind, and it has been wrong every time it has been possible to check it. A regulated money transfer service does not operate everywhere — it holds licences in specific jurisdictions and serves specific corridors, and the list changes. Now the arithmetic, because €10 sounds small and its context makes it less so.

€10 on a €100 qualifying transfer is 10% — and by the standards of this category that is a substantial proportion. The transfer fee on €100 at a competitive provider is typically a small fraction of that, so for a first transfer the reward can genuinely exceed the cost of making it. That is a real benefit for the referred person, not a rounding error.

But it is one-off, and it is credit. The €10 is credited to a Profee account rather than paid out, so its value depends on whether you will send money through Profee again. Credit at a transfer service is worth its face value to someone who transfers routinely and considerably less to someone who does not. Ask what you will send abroad in the next year before treating €10 as €10.

And the comparison that should decide where you send money, which no bonus should displace: compare how much arrives in the destination currency. Take your actual amount, put it into two or three providers on the same day, and look at the recipient figure. The exchange rate margin is usually a larger cost than the fee, so a service advertising low fees or a generous bonus can be the most expensive place to send money. A one-off €10 is worth having on your first transfer. On your fifth, only the rate matters — and a margin difference of even one per cent on regular remittances will outrun this bonus quickly.

The 30-day deadline deserves one specific caution. A first transfer of €100 made on day 31 earns nothing, and the clock runs from sign-up rather than from when your friend gets round to it. So if you are sharing a link, share it at the point someone actually needs to send money — not in advance, "for when you need it". A code shared early is a code that expires unused, and this is the most common way small referral rewards are lost across many categories.

And the standing point for this cluster: funds held with a payment institution are generally safeguarded rather than covered by a deposit compensation scheme: your own money, kept apart from the firm's and returnable if it fails, but with no compensation scheme topping up a shortfall and returns administered rather than automatic. Send money through; do not store money in — including a credit balance you are saving for later.
