Omio (formerly GoEuro) is a Berlin-based travel search engine that compares
trains, buses and flights across Europe, the UK and North America in a single
search. Instead of checking Trainline, FlixBus and a dozen airline sites
separately, you see every option — price, duration, transfers — on one results
page and book directly through Omio.

The Omio Refer a Friend programme gives new users €10 to spend on their first
booking. The person who referred you receives €10 in Refer a Friend credit once
you actually complete your trip — not at signup. In the UK the reward is issued
as £10; other markets receive the local equivalent where Omio supports it.

To use a code from the list above, you have two options. The simplest is to open
a referral link directly and create your Omio account from that page — the credit
is attached automatically. If you already started signing up, you can instead
create a verified account and then enter the code manually under the "Invite an
Omio Member friend" section in My Account.

Either way, your account must be verified. Omio requires you to confirm your
mobile number by SMS before referral credit is issued — accounts without a
verified phone number will not receive the reward.

A few rules worth knowing before you book. Referral credit must be redeemed
within one year of being issued, after which it expires automatically. Your
booking has to meet a minimum total basket price, which Omio displays in the
referral invitation and at checkout. Credit only applies to eligible bookings
paid for through Omio itself — tickets bought offsite through certain integrated
providers are excluded, and referral credit cannot be stacked with other
promotions or discount codes.

Omio caps the total Refer a Friend credit any single user can accumulate at
€1,000, or the local equivalent. Self-referrals do not work: if the referrer and
the referred person are the same individual, or that person has opened multiple
Omio accounts, no credit is issued. Credit sitting in separate accounts cannot be
merged.

Where Omio is genuinely useful is medium-distance European travel where the
train-versus-bus-versus-budget-flight decision isn't obvious — Berlin to Prague,
Paris to Amsterdam, Rome to Florence. On those routes the price gap between modes
can be large and changes by day of week, which is exactly what a comparison
search is for.
