ShareASale no longer exists as a platform to join — it was folded into Awin and fully retired in 2025. Here is what happened to it and what to check if you had an account.

First and most important: ShareASale is no longer a platform you can join.

Awin, which owned it, migrated all active ShareASale customers onto the Awin platform on 15 August 2025, and the ShareASale platform was fully retired by the end of 2025. The combined network is reported to bring together more than 9,500 advertisers and around 250,000 active publishers. Existing relationships, tracking links and programmes were transferred automatically, so links generally continued to work and commissions continued to track.

One thing did not transfer automatically, and the deadline has passed. Publishers were advised to download any historical data they wanted to keep before the platform closed. That window shut at the end of 2025 — roughly eight months before this page was written. If you had a ShareASale account, the practical question now is not "how do I join" but "does my Awin account contain the reporting history I need?" Check it, and check it before you need it for a tax return or a partner dispute rather than after.

Bench Accounting shut down abruptly in December 2024 and left roughly 35,000 customers unable to download their own bookkeeping records — a reminder to ask "can I export my data, in bulk, today?" before adopting any platform. ShareASale is the polite version of that story — an orderly migration with notice given — and even the polite version had a deadline that most people will have missed. The habit worth forming: export your own records annually, while nothing is wrong.

A disclosure worth stating plainly: GiveRefer is a referral listing site, and ShareASale was an affiliate network — the kind of business that pays sites like ours for traffic.
