India's Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 prohibited online money games from 22 August 2025, covering games of skill and chance alike. Fantasy platforms across the size range stopped money-based play, and the independent operators were hit hardest — the largest names had the resources to pivot to free-to-play or to move abroad, while smaller platforms generally did not.

The reward this page described was bonus cash to play contests. That phrasing was accurate and revealing: the reward could only be spent on entering paid contests. It was not withdrawable, it was released against entry fees rather than granted outright, and it required the referred friend to deposit and play. It was a mechanism for converting a personal recommendation into deposited money.

With paid contests prohibited, the currency has nowhere to be spent and no way to be earned.

Vision11 competed in one of the most crowded consumer categories in India, where more than a dozen platforms ran near-identical fantasy cricket products differentiated largely by the size of their signup bonuses. That competitive dynamic — outbidding rivals on deposit inducements — is part of what drew the scrutiny the category eventually received.
