Real 11 Referral Code

Real11's "up to ₹5,000" was two different things added together, and neither was a payment for a signup. Taking the figure apart is the useful exercise, whatever the law now says.

Real11 was a fantasy sports platform in the tier below Dream11, and its headline offer was up to ₹5,000. That number was an addition of two unlike things, which is the most common way a referral figure is inflated and worth learning to spot.

The first ₹3,000 was "XtraCash". Restricted credit, usable against contest entry, not withdrawable. Calling it cash and adding it to a referral total treats it as equivalent to money, which it was not — you could not take it out, and its only use was the activity that generated revenue for the platform.

The remaining ₹2,000 was described as being earned on your referral's contest plays and deposits. That is not a signup reward at all. It is an accrual that grows as the person you referred funds their account and enters contests, which means it pays out over time in proportion to how much they gamble, and pays nothing if they sign up and stop. The advertised ₹5,000 was therefore the sum of a credit you could not withdraw and a commission you had to hope someone else would generate.

Both halves are now moot. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, assented 22 August 2025, prohibits online money games across India irrespective of whether they rest on skill or chance. Section 2 catches games played by paying fees, or depositing money or other stakes, with the expectation of winning; the same section defines other stakes to include credits and tokens, real or virtual, recognised as convertible to money and purchased in relation to the game — which is where XtraCash sits. Section 6 prohibits advertising such a game, and section 9(2) sets the penalty at up to two years' imprisonment or ₹50 lakh, or both. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Rules, 2026 have been in force since 1 May 2026, with the Online Gaming Authority of India empowered to classify games by entry fee, staking mechanism, expectation of winnings and revenue model.

The habit worth keeping from this page: when a referral offer quotes one large number, ask what it is made of. If part of it is restricted credit and part of it is a commission contingent on someone else's behaviour, the honest headline is much smaller than the advertised one — and that is true of perfectly lawful referral programmes too.

Free-to-play fantasy remains lawful. A balance should be pursued through the operator's own support rather than any recovery intermediary.
